Howdy
So I just read through my entire blog, and was somewhat dreading going back and reading through some posts going back as far as 2009. I don't generally like to go back that far in my life. Wasn't a very good time for me, though I didn't know too much about that at the time. lol. Thankfully they only went back to November, which was somewhat of a happy time. I look at the posts about me going through hard stuff and I'm sitting here thinking, what in the world was I going through? I honestly don't remember... But that is probably a good thing. We don't remember the moments like that, we remember the moments that make a big impact emotionally on us. Laughing. Loving. Hoping. Crying. Smiling. Those are the moments that make it to our memories. Most of our days just slip away without us even noticing, or remembering. I think we all need more moments that make us remember. "Life's not the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away" - So true!

Another memory. I remember this one, although it is not wholly good. But I love the people in this picture to death, even though sometimes there is complications. lol. (Me in the middle, my besterest best best friend in the black, and another awesome chick on the right.)

This is one of my favorite of all time memories. I loved that whole day, and can remember almost every moment. =) I see this picture and it makes me smile. =) (One of the awesomest families in the world!!!! I am second from right. On the right is one of my bestest friends, and "sister", in the middle is my besterest best best friend, next to him is an awesome n fun boy, and on the far left is the amazingest kid ever!)

I asked God to show me how much He loved me, and He gave me you.

You taught me to stand on my own to feet, that I didn't need others to support me. You taught me to always be there for others. You showed me I'm worth it, and that I needed to stop thinking I was below everyone else. You taught me to screw the haters, and the people that don't believe. You taught me to try, and never give up. You taught me it's okay to cry, it's okay to be afraid, but to not let those conquer me. You taught me that God always wins. You taught me to forgive, even when it seemed impossible. You helped me to forget, and heal, from the a certain tragic past event. You taught me to not let that control me. You taught me that even with that, I'm worth it. You told me that you'd never leave my side, and you've proven yourself true to your word. You've taught me the true meaning of the word Gentleman. You dedicated your time to being my friend, and you have helped me more than you ever could know. When God gave me you, He gave me excitement, adventure, it's never boring! He gave me something to fight for, and a hope that never dies. I'm so thankful that God brought you into my life, and for everything He's taught me, through you. I asked God to show me how much He loved me, and He gave me you.

And it made me really look over my life and think. I mean, is my life right now everything I have hoped or dreamed of? Am I perfectly completely happy with my life? Then I realized, you know I am happy with my life. Perfectly happy. Am I really who I want to be? And I realized, I am exactly who I want to be. And I realized that my dreams for the future aren't just some immpossible thing to maybe accomplish someday, they are within reach. I mean, in a few more years, I will be graduating High School and will be going to college. And then I can be whoever I want to be. And I can be whoever I want to be now. I can make myself into the person that I want to be. And I realized, I am exactly the person I want to be. My life revolves around Jesus and that is what makes me perfectly happy. Now, let me ask you a question. Are YOU who you want to be? Is your life what you want it to be? Just a thing to get you thinking.

Thoughts for today

So I've been thinking about the verse in the bible "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Yes, it is this topic again). And I was thinking, you know, what of the people that I really don't get along with? Or the people that I really don't like? (Yes, I admit, I am human. There are people I don't like. lol) But what am I supposed to do about it? Am I supposed to pretend to be there friend but still not like them? I mean, yes, I know I'm not supposed to not like anyone. But there are some people that I just don't get along with. Maybe the way to love them like myself is to avoid them, so as to not get on their nerves? lol, probably not. But am I supposed to pretend to get along with them, when I really don't? Isn't that being two-faced? I hate it when people pretend to be my friend, then I find out that they really aren't. With some of them, I just avoid them, with others, I pretend to be their friends. And I really do try to get along with them. I guess the best way is to just show love, even if you don't feel it? Or make yourself like them? I'm not sure. Any thoughts?

You know, I've figured out that nothing is as wonderful as the feeling you have when you put your complete trust in Jesus. Because you know you have nothing to fear. Absulutly nothing. =) Thank you for taking our burdens, Jesus! "Our God is an awesome God!"
The other day I was thinking (Yes, I finally have some time to that again =]). "My hearts only desire is to worship you (Jesus)". And that really is what our hearts are crying out for. Not just some little worship here and there. Not only at church when they have "worship" time. No, worshiping is for every second of the day. And there are lots of different types of worshiping. There is the worshiping singing with songs and writing songs or poetry or whatever the Lord Most High has you doing. Then there is also the worship of our lives. What I mean by that is just.... I think, that when we do whatever the Lord wishes in our life, if we constantly seek Him, put our trust in Him, respect authority, honour our parents, and whatever else the Lord commands us to do, I think that this is the best kind of worship ever. I think that this is the sweetest music to our Lord's ear. And if you think about it, this is what makes you truly happy, isn't it? I believe this is because when we do this, we are doing God's perfect will for our lives.
And I just found out today that my brother is going to be stationed in Hawaii after he finishes bootcamp. I guess I wasn't expecting him to be stationed near here, but I could hope couldn't I? And when his unit roatates next (after Hawaii) he'll be going to either Iraq or Afganistan. That is really hard. I miss him. Oh well, everyone has to grow up sometime I guess. lol.

I'm watching a spelling bee. I'm such a nerd!! lol. It is amazing what these kids know! And they're younger than me. Hmm, I think a spelling bee would be fun, but I wouldn't want all the studying. lol. I'm really in summer mode right now. I do not feel like doing anymore school, lol. Oh well, only like a week left. Right now, I'm really thanking God for my most awesome friends! They are there for me no matter what. What are you thanking God for?

Randomness

Has decided facebook doesn't know what it is talking about. It called me a un-weird loser >:(. Lol, I took a quiz and it said that I wasn't weird at all and that I was a loser because I was so normal. But, I actually tried to get "normal". Because I actually am weird. Lol, and I think all my friends will vouch for that, right? lol. Anyway, what have you been up to recently? I've been so busy that I really haven't even had time to think. Hense why my posts have changed a bit. Because I don't really have anything deep I've been pondering. Well, besides the fact that time seems to go slowly, but I never have time for all the things I do. lol, but it should settle down after softball season ends, and then I'll be bored! Anyway. I hope you laugh at this

Here are some funny things that have happened to me recently.

I was talking to one of my best friends on the phone. Me "Oh, by the way, never take a walk in the pouring rain in high-heeled flip-flops." My Friend: "What idiot would do that?!?!" Me: "Well, considering I'm doing it right now... I know, I'm a dork but ya gotta love me!" My friend: "Yes, you are a dork. And I do love you."

At my softball game as we watched the other team warm up. One of my teammates: "Wow. They are gonna be so EASY to beat! They throw like girls!" Another teammate: "They ARE girls." "Yeah but they don't have to THROW like girls!"

My Friend from the first Scenerio while we were still on the phone: "A lady never says no..." Me: "Well, add that to the already long list of why I'm not a lady." XD I do dearly love being a tomboy! I like dressing up like once a year. But I like to be a tomboy more.

I got off Facebook the other day because I got bored. Five minuets later I got back on Facebook because I got bored. XD

And on sunday I got to play softball in the pouring rain! Such a privelege, I mean... Actually, I really did enjoy it. I got to get all dirty and not get in trouble for it! But I did end up with a sprained elbow, a nice sunburn and an imprint of third base cut into my leg. But hey, we won both games, so all is good! And I made some new friends.

Anyway, I couldn't think of anything else to write. So I wrote about some funny things. I hope you laughed at me and enjoyed this! Please, show your friends my blog! XD Like, all your friends. ;)

It's all about perspective

"When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry. Show life a thousand reasons to laugh." I say laugh here because laughter doeth good like a medicine. And plus, I dearly love to make all my friends laugh. And even the people I don't know. I like seeing people happy. And when my friends are down, I want to do my absulute best to help them become happy again. I want to fix the hurt. This applies to anyone who has reached the status of my best friends. Because above all else, I am loyal. And I want to fix the pain. I hate to see the people I love hurting. "Good friends will be a shoulder to cry one when you need one. But best friends will have a shovel ready to bury the loser who made you cry." I do both. I don't want anyone to be hurting. But I know that I can only help so many people. So I try to help where ever my sphere of influence can reach. If a friend comes to me crying they can expect to leave either laughing or at least comforted. The other day one of my best friends called me up and was crying. And by the end she was laughing, and I was so happy that I could do my part. Even when I'm hurting for whatever reason. I still try my best to laugh and help anyone I know who is hurting to laugh often. There is a fan page on facebook that I really like "I love the person who has every reason to break down and cry but they are still smiling." I try so hard to be that person! And I've found the secret to this, is contained in one word: JESUS! He will be my strength, He will never let me down, He will always be there for me! So when life gives me a hundred reasons to cry, all I need to say is one word and it implys a thousand reasons to laugh! =D Thank you so much, Jesus! =D Another of my favorite sayings? "When life gives you lemons laugh and throw them back." XD And if you don't know me, I think you can kinda get an idea of my personality by that saying. 'Specially since I wrote it... =P XD

Oh Jesus, this really is the cry of my heart. It is amazing how much we can learn in just one day if we open ourselves completely to Jesus. If we let nothing else get in the way, and if we just have an actual need for Jesus. If we let ourselves lean completely on Jesus, he will be our strength and strong tower of refuge. I have learned this that Jesus will always be there! He will never let you down! Right now God has me being a good friend and encourager to lots of different friends. God has given me an ability to listen, and then he gives me the words to say to comfort and help those people. And I find if I don't give all those burdens to Jesus, they just bring me down. So Jesus really is my "Strong tower. High and glorious, Strong Tower. Lord of love". I love Jesus! He is my everything. He is my life! I don't know if any of this made sense.... I'm kind of in a rush. But I hope it blesses you.

Songs and my life

I've some how managed to almost always have a song stuck in my head. Or blips of songs. Not that it is always bad, but it annoys my family. Right now I have encouraging bits of songs stuck in my head: "My God is mighty to save. He is mighty to save! Forever, author of salvation, He rose and conquered the grave, Yes he conquered the grave. Shine your light and let the whole world see, we're singing for the glory of the Risen King. He is mighty to save!" and "Hold me in Your arms never let me go I wanna spend eternity with you (Jesus)." Jesus really is my strength and my tower of refuge. "Your (Jesus) all I want. Your all I've ever needed. Your all I want, help me know You are near." I often add blips of songs into whatever situation I am in. That is one thing I so enjoy with my family, whatever situation we happen to be in, we know a song for (generally a funny one). Just one of the usual things about my family.... =D

Lights among the Darkness

"So carry your candle. Run to the darkness. Seek out the lonely and light up their darkness. Carry your candle for all to see. Light up the world..." We are put on this world to be a light among the darkness. We must shine where we are placed. "Preach the Gospel always, and if necessary, use words." We are supposed to preach Jesus through our actions. Yes, we can use words where necessary, but we are not supposed to beat Jesus down people's throats. I have a few friends who have turned away from Jesus because of this. We are not supposed to be like "your wrong here and here and here" that is Jesus' job, not ours! We are supposed to be lights by our actions. Our words can help, but not if we beat others down. "The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because they are generally the same people." <-- And why is that? Shouldn't everyone want to be our friends? Because we are supposed to be lights, so that darkness can't hide. Chase it away!

Is it about eating Chocolate Bunnies?

Today is Easter. Or as some Christians say, resurection day. But what is Easter, really? I mean, for most people it is the day to eat candy, go to sunrise service, do easter egg hunts, and take some extra days off school and work. But seriously, why was this holiday origonaly created? So we can spend a day bitting the heads off chocolate bunnies? NO!! It is to remind us what Jesus did for us. I mean, the horrible sacrifice he did. For ME!!! He loves me that much. The least I can do is remember that. And thank him. On today, at least. But also on every day.
"All for Jesus, I surrender. All to Him I freely give." Ever thought of the implications of this? I mean, Jesus loves us unconditionaly (that thought is the most mind-blowing EVER), the LEAST I can do is give my life to him. ALL of my life. Without compliant, without "Whying" Jesus. Just doing it. That is the hardest thing that I have ever done/am doing. It is hard not to question Jesus. Sometimes, all we want to do is our own way. But if we do what Jesus wants us to do, instead, we make our faith stronger. We make Jesus happy. And to please Jesus, that is what I am here for, isn't it? That is what life is about! Pleasing Jesus in the small things, makes doing it soooooo much easier in the large things. And it is worth it. Even if it seems like nothing could be worse, Jesus will help you through it! Jesus died for us, so that he could be here, with us, in every aspect of our lives. And we deny him this? why?!?! Jesus, my prayer is that you make me all for you. That every choice I make in life, will be for you. You have given me a free choice in everything I do. I pray that I chose it for you. Jesus, you are my all, my everything. And I love you, Jesus. May you always reign in my life!

My Favorite Bible verse

I think my favorite bible has to be Phillipians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me. This verse has bless me so much through out my life. Just to know that Jesus is helping me through everything that I do. And if I do anything with Christ, then He will help me accomplish this! God never means for us to fail. He always wants us to succeed. :D
