Good Evening everyone!
Today I am thankful for thrift stores! My mom and I spent the morning browsing through one of our local thrift stores. I had a lot of fun. I love the small town atmosphere where everyone is friendly. In that way I miss living where we used to live in a town of 250. When we first moved to the area we are in now, I really hated it. I did not want to move. I grew up in the north, and suddenly had to move to the south. I didn't like it. I hate the state we lived in. But now that Jesus has been teaching me to be thankful in all things, I have accepted where we live. And I love our area! And I'm slowly adjusting to living in the south, it is really hard though. I don't think I will ever get used to the teasing though. When I'm in the North, I get made fun of for living in the South. When I'm in the South, I get teased for not having a southern accent. Even though I will never get used to the teasing, Jesus has made it so that it no longer stings. I like the saying: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names could NEVER hurt me." Its so true!
Today I am also thankful for phones. I just had a wonderful convesation with my oldest sister! I've had an awesome time all day. I love shopping with my mom! We also did our Walmart run today! That is always fun!
Have a blessed weekend!
I like thrift shops too!

Hey Beth!
ReplyDeleteI love thrift stores! Many times you can find nice, modest clothing at good prices, when you can't find them anywhere else!
And I awarded you too! Hannah awarded me...
I guess you'll have two of the same one oh, well... hope you don't mind!
And I hope that soon you will be introduced to the warmth and hospitality that the South used to be famous for. I live in a small town in the south, and LOVE it! There are ungodly people anywhere you go in the world though, and many times when I am discouraged over that, I am reminded of the many dear Godly friends the Lord has graciously blessed me with.
Looking forward to your next post! :)
